Like I said, it would mean that if you chose a car different from the Satsuma, you'd have to become familiar with the design of the car you chose and build it the way it requires. (threw that out there to explain why I don't like to watch long Youtube videos that are 50+ minutes)īut, like I said, it would be more interesting if more variety with the cars in game were a thing, and you were given a choice of what car you start up with. To me, watching livestreams is too much like watching movies. I didn't watch the 50+ minute video, as I usually don't like to watch Youtube videos that long. Watched the trailers for the game and they absolutely made no sense to me. You actually have to construct the car from just the frame into a fully functional one. Like I said, the ideas behind it and the mechanics is very interesting. I went ahead and watched WhyBeAre's videos. You didn't speak to me in a rude tone, so no offense taken. What I would've expected as a hate message is if someone cussed me out and said a bunch of rude things. Unlockables can keep a gamer playing the game.Ĭlick to expand.I didn't read this as hate. Heck, I even think it'd be okay to make the other cars unlockables.

Plus, it opens a lot of doors for those other cars as well, including what the player must do to put them together and make them drivable, as all cars will differ in how they are designed, meaning that the player can't really use the same methods they used to build the Satsuma, they'd have to become accustomed to the car of their choice and learn about their design and inner workings. My advice to the creators of My Summer Car: Make all cars playable, and give the player the ability to choose which car they want upon startup, so that they don't have to keep using the same car they got tired of the last time they played the game. See the problem? So many interesting cars, yet there's nothing to do with them. To pour salt on the open wound, there are a bunch of other cars that look very interesting that you can't even play with, one of them including a car based on a SAAB called the Polsa, and some more cars based on a 1988 Opel Vectra, a 1967 Pontiac Firebird, a 1961 Plymouth Fury, a 1966 Ford Fairlane, and a 1975 Fiat. However, I believe that if you wanted them, you'd have to steal them, except for the tractor and perhaps the van. I heard that other playable vehicles include a sedan called the Ferndale (which I think looks cool), a Toyota Hiace esque van called the Hayosiko, a tanker truck called the Gifu, and a tractor called the Kekmet. I do think the car is cute and looks fun to drive, but after a while, you'd get tired of it, and want something else.

If you're someone like me, you'd want some variety, and to be able to choose what car you want upon starting the game.Īpparently, the only car you're given is a small two door called the Satsuma AMP.
#MY SUMMER CAR SKINS POSTER SERIES#
Even the GTA series gives you a ton of different cars to play with and modify.įrom what all I've seen and heard about My Summer Car, you're only limited to one car. However, one thing I love about BeamNG.drive is the multitude of cars it gives you, and the fact that all of the cars in the game are playable. The idea behind it does sound extremely interesting though, the idea of building a car, and making sure it actually runs. forumlist td.forum_title a.TBH, this game doesn't sound interesting to me, mostly because I feel like there's a bunch of empty spaces with it.
